Stevie Nick's STAND BACK ultimate collection celebrates the rock goddess second Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. A 50-track, 3-CD version was released on April 19 which is followed by a 6-LP vinyl version on June 28. The 6-LP's offer a Career-Spanning Collections Outlining Nicks' Entire Solo Catalog.
STAND BACK is full of gems including her collaboration with Dave Grohl for the Sound City: Real to Reel soundtrack You Can't Fix This, her 2009 live album The Soundstage Sessions (“Sara” and a cover of Dave Matthews Band’s “Crash Into Me.”), more recent songs such as her song with Lana Del Rey "Beautiful People Beautiful Problems" and multiple Tom Petty collaborations. The compilation includes a mix of both live versions, original cuts, remasters, and her contributions to film soundtracks, like “Blue Lamp” from Heavy Metal and “If You Ever Did Believe” from Practical Magic.
Nick's has always had a distinguished flare with a intriguing sense of darkness, her enticing voice and lyrics conveying the balance between emotional vulnerability and strength. A bewitching stage presence that is almost shamanic. Through incorporating themes of love and loss in her songs and her use of symbolism in nature and animals comes out as nothing less than pure art and this compilation reflects that perfectly. This collection is full of timeless music and there is no limit to how Nick's lyrics can be translated making her music relateable and accessible to anyone.
"Each song is a lifetime... Each song has a soul... Each song has a purpose... They represent my life behind the scenes, the secrets, the broken hearts, the broken hearted and the survivors." - Stevie Nicks
Nick's has and always will be a muse to many with her mystical and prolific blend of style, substance and a flair for the dramatic and self-mythology.
