One of the rap scene's most reliable mischief makers, Smokepurpp is a titan of turn-up. Returning to his roots, Purpp announces Florida Jit, his next album. The upcoming project is a chaotic and energetic effort, with a sound that returns to Purpp's roots in the aggressive and influential South Florida SoundCloud scene. Florida Jit is set to drop in the coming weeks via Alamo Records.

To accompany the announcement of his upcoming project, Smokepurpp shares "Off My Chest," the aggressive first video single. Opening with a noise from a raucous recent Purpp show, "Off My Chest" is a bass-boosted banger, as Purpp and guest rapper Lil Pump take turns tossing off high-volume, party positive pearls of smack talk in a friendly competition to see who can come up with the most outrageous punchline: "This b*tch got corona, I don't wanna see her/All these white b*tches on my d*ck like Bieber," snarls Pump. In the video, directed by All The Smoke and inspired by the movie Office Space, Pump and Purpp invade a buttoned-up office, taking advantage of the open plan to create as much chaos as possible. "Off My Chest" is Purpp's first new song since the noirish banger "excuse me," released in March, and follows in a long line of collaborations between Purpp and Pump, including the Gold-certified "Nephew."

Florida Jit is the proper follow-up to Deadstar 2, Purpp's recent album. Executive-produced by Mike Dean, who mixed the album and added his unique creative footprint to the project, the album boasted guest appearances from Trippie Redd, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Pump, and Moneybagg Yo, and production from the likes of Murda Beatz, Ronny J, Go Grizzly, and Apex Martin.

Background on Smokepurpp:
The Chicago-born, Miami-raised rapper and producer Smokepurpp has been one of the cornerstones of Florida's burgeoning rap scene since the release of his "Ski Mask" video in 2015. The buzz from the video and other singles with close friend Lil Pump culminated in a record deal with Alamo/Interscope Records and Travis Scott's Cactus Jack Records. The 21-year old Purpp quickly went to work, collaborating with Scott, Yo Gotti, Pump, and more. His debut release, Deadstar, spawned the gold-certified single "Audi" and generated features from The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Pigeons & Planes, XXL, Mass Appeal, and many more. The follow up release, Bless Yo Trap, was a collaboration with Grammy-nominated producer Murda Beatz, boasted the standout single "123" and collaborations with Lil Yachty, Offset, and A$AP Ferg. 2018 has been a banner year for Purpp so far, thanks to his selection on the 2018 XXL Freshman list, the release of "Nephew," his Gold-certified collaboration with Lil Pump, which has over 100M streams across all platforms, and "I Love It," the Kanye West and Pump collaboration which Purpp co-wrote and debuted at number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. After delighting his fans with the Lost Planet EP in April, Purpp set to close the year out with the highly-anticipated Deadstar 2.
